Lesson 1 Oombapa/Colors
Lesson one went well.
I put together a template with nine common colors
I created a simple songs about colors
Then we sang the song for about four days. The begging was hard, but now they love the song. I'm not the greatest singer, but it still worked.
I'll be updating some of the images and videos we used.
Today whenever the kids are dressing or eating I point out the colors in Oshiwambo that way they will stick in their heads.
Posters are also some of the best tools to use for young kids. I will have the poster on my facebook once its ready soon. I've been working on those for business, but I decided to use the color one.
The theme for next week is Opposites.
Will update you soon!

Re:Creating a Curriculum
I'm currently looking for info to create a curriculum to teach my children Oshiwambo.
Any tips will be appreciated.
Any tips will be appreciated.
Starting all over again
I have to admit that I have not accomplish my goal of teaching my two children Oshiwambo. It is my responsibility as a mother to teach my children their mother tongue. My son is almost 7 years, and my daughter is 3 years old. All my son knows is greetings in Oshiwambo few animal names, and few objects. My daughter on the other hand knows a lot of objects and animal names, and can put up to three words together. But my goal is that they can both communicate well in their mother tongue. As of this week I decided to put much efforts to helping this dream a reality.
